Manager, EDF-Business Climate Corps (China & India)

Environmental Defense Fund, Inc., seeks Manager, EDF-Business Climate Corps (China & India) in New York, NY & able to telecommute from any location within the US. Duties: Serve as primary liaison to the Climate Corps China and India programs for the U.S. based EDF-Business Climate Corps team and work closely with and report to the Director, Climate Corps. Oversee and support program strategy and operations in China and India through communication and coordination with EDF Climate Corps China staff and host partners in Mandarin and EDF Climate Corps India staff and host partners in English to share knowledge and collaboration to ensure effective execution of projects are in alignment, including but not limited to: Manage consultants carrying out the work in India, and provide clear guidance and support to EDF staff on the ground in China by facilitating regular check-ins, understanding and aligning strategic priorities, and ensuring key deliverables and milestones are met; Provide direction for and deeply collaborate with the India and China team members on student and company recruitment activities including planning, outreach and evaluation; Collaborate effectively with the India and China team members and the U.S. Climate Corps fellow matching team to ensure effective and equitable student screening, interviewing and matching to host organizations for fellowships; Coordinate closely and provide guidance for the India and China team members to support participating fellows and host organizations, including pre-fellowship preparation, fellow training, technical resources, and summer engagement management; Coordinate closely with Climate Corps' Network Manager to establish and execute local network engagement strategies and events; Establish and oversee robust data reporting procedures in coordination with the Climate Corps data management team to ensure the collection and reporting of key program statistics and information; Work with EDF's Marketing and Communications team and other stakeholders to develop promotional and other content for Climate Corps' China and India programs including public project summaries, case studies, brochures, the edfclimatecorps.org website, and other means; Apply best practices to program operations in China and India, and ensure consistent high-quality programming globally; Manage summer engagements in China and/or India as needed. Contribute to the management of program budgets and key external relationships. Contribute towards the exploration of further international program expansion. Participate in advancing EDF DEI goals in which people from all backgrounds and experiences feel connected, included, and empowered to address the environmental and organizational challenges in alignment with EDF values.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (employer will accept single degree or any combination of degrees, diplomas or professional credentials determined to be equivalent by a qualified evaluation service) in Business Administration, International Business, Public Administration, Environmental Management or related field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or environmental sustainability positions within corporate or non-profit sectors.

Must have two (2) years of experience working within China and India regions for contract and program management that includes concept to execution, including crafting, ushering and after-action reviews of collaboration. Must have two (2) years of experience with corporate sustainability that includes environmental and climate control policy strategies and education for global regions. Must have two (2) years of experience with climate program management, contracts, donor & program report, and public communication using Excel, Salesforce.com, or similar CRM software/tool. Must be fluent in Chinese Mandarin. Able to telecommute from any location within the U.S.

Salary $128,544 per year.
